Healthy Cats for Life  This is a great web site with information for cat owners.  It includes a wellness checklist, the top subtle signs of illness, and some great tips on going to the clinic, like how to get your cat into a carrier, adjusting to car rides, and tips for pleasant veterinary visits for your cat. 

American Veterinary Medical Association  This site is a good starting point to learn more about a variety of topics, including feline injection-site sarcomas and the latest subjects in veterinary medicine.

Behavior problems  Founded by Brian Kilcommons and Sharon Wilson, best-selling authors and recognized experts on animal training and behavior, this site is a terrific resource for advice on a variety of behavioral problems. If you want to learn more about feline housesoiling, barking dogs, aggression, or any other behavioral problem, check this one out!   

CDC Healthy Pets Healthy People   This resource is designed to help you learn about diseases that animals can carry and how to protect yourself from those diseases.  This web site can be browsed by animal and by disease.  It provides advice for people at extra risk as well as information for health professionals.

Disaster Preparedness for your Pets at  This link will take you directly to a PDF file that includes a checklist of things that you will need to include your pets in disaster preparedness planning.  

Grief Support  The Argus Institute at Colorado State University was founded to promote veterinarian-client-patient relationships.  This web site provides support for coping with sick pets and with pet loss.  It provides resources for pet owning families, veterinarians, and vet students.

Healthy Pets   The American Animal Hospital Association developed this web site for pet owners who want to learn more about how to keep their pets healthy.

Heartworm Society  Everything you ever wanted to know about heartworm disease can be found here!

International Pet Travel  The United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) provides international animal export regulations in this web site.  It can be searched by country of destination, so if you are planning to travel out of the country with your pet, this site is a good place to start your research to find out the rules that may apply to you.

National Animal Poison Control Center  This is the website of the National Animal Poison Control Center. It includes a library, links to other sites, and phone numbers for the poison control center. 

Pet Diets  If you need a complete and balanced home made diet for your pet, you can obtain an individual veterinary nutrition consult here.  This web site, founded by one of the country's top veterinary nutritionists, is designed for pet owners interested in learning more about their dog and cat's nutrition from veterinary nutritionists.  

Petfinder  On this web site you can learn before you adopt a pet, search for adoptable pets, find adoption groups, and post a pet classified ad.  It is a national web site with local links.

Pets and Parasites  Presented by the Companion Animal Parasite Council, this has the latest information for pet owners and their vets on how to protect pets and the people around them from parasites.

Rainbow Bridge  Anyone who has ever lost a pet should visit this wonderful site. It is a terrific tribute to our lost family members 

USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service  The USDA maintains this website with information on a variety of animal health related topics, including the latest news on such things as Mad Cow Diseases, foot and mouth disease, and many other things. 

West Nile Virus  This site is maintained by the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, and has the latest information on the spread of West Nile Virus in the US, as well as information on disease transmission, symptoms, etc.

Veterinary Schools in the US  This is a great link to all of the websites of veterinary schools in the United States. 

Tips to keep your furniture looking new in a home with pets  This site has links to tips about keeping your pets off the furniture, cleaning upholstery and carpets from pet stains, and more.
